Empress Nicole the Great is the titular head of the International Imperial Court System. A longtime LGBTQ+ and Latino civil rights activist who serves as our international spokesperson and ceremonial monarch. Nicole has helped raise millions of dollars for various charities and has served on numerous civic boards and advisory committees, advocating for LGBTQ+ inclusion at both local and national levels.
FOUNDER OF THE INTERNATIONAL COURT SYSTEM
In 1965, José Sarria proclaimed herself the Empress of San Francisco, and laid the foundation for the formation of the Imperial Court de San Francisco. Today, the International Court System has over 65 chapters in the USA, Canada and Mexico, making us the second largest LGBTQ+ organization in the world.
FOUNDER OF THE CANADIAN COURT SYSTEM
Ted northe was a trailblazing Canadian drag queen and LGBTQ+ activist who led one of Canada’s first gay rights protests in 1958. He founded the Dogwood Monarchist Society and helped establish the Imperial Court System in Canada, leaving a lasting legacy of advocacy and community fundraising.

Emperor Terry Sidie, honored as King Father I of the Americas, is a prominent LGBTQ+ activist and philanthropist. Terry has championed initiatives supporting LGBTQ+ rights, including fundraising for AIDS organizations, scholarships, and refugee assistance, while also promoting inclusivity through the recognition of non-binary titles within the Court System.
KING FATHER I OF ALL CANADA
Emperor John Ribson, honored as King Father I of all Canada, is a distinguished leader, having served multiple terms as Emperor of Hamilton, Ontario. A dedicated LGBTQ+ activist, he spearheaded the establishment of the Canadian National LGBTQ Wall of Honor in Hamilton, celebrating the contributions of queer Canadians and preserving their history.
