Empress Nicole the Great is the titular head of the International Court System. A longtime LGBTQ+ and Latino civil rights activist who serves as our international spokesperson and ceremonial monarch. Nicole has helped raise millions of dollars for various charities and has served on numerous civic boards and advisory committees, advocating for LGBTQ+ inclusion at both local and national levels.

In 1965, José Sarria proclaimed herself the Empress of San Francisco, and laid the foundation for the formation of the Imperial Court de San Francisco. Today, the International Court System has over 65 chapters in the USA, Canada and Mexico, making us the second largest LGBTQ+ organization in the world.
