
Known throughout the International Court System as Mulan Rouge, she has dedicated more than 20 years to community service, charitable fundraising, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
Her journey began in 2005 when she joined the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as Sister Yuriko Lomein. During her time with the organization, she participated in bar ministry, distributed safer-sex kits, promoted HIV/AIDS awareness, and helped raise funds for organizations including Lambert House and Lifelong AIDS Alliance. She was also honored to be a founding member of Pride Asia Seattle.
In 2013, Mulan joined the International Court System, where she was crowned Miss Gay Washington for the Imperial Sovereign Court of Tacoma, Diamond Empire of the Cascades and later reigned as Empress 36. During her reign, she helped raise funds for organizations supporting youth, HIV/AIDS services, cancer awareness, and maternal health.
After moving to Oregon in 2016, Mulan joined the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Willamette Empire, where she has served as Miss Gay Salem 42, Imperial Crown Princess 44, and Star Empress 45. She has partnered with local faith communities, public health organizations, HIV service providers, and Pride organizations to strengthen and support the community.
In 2023, she joined the International Court Council, where she currently serves as deputy chair for the Get Out the Vote committee. She currently serves as second in line of succession to Queen Mother 1 of the Americas Empress Nicole the Great.
Through decades of service across the United States and Canada, Mulan Rouge continues to embody the values of leadership, compassion, philanthropy, and community.
